Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern tandem paragliding flights, paragliding courses, and gift voucher purchases provided by Paragliding Brasov, operated by DTS Strategies & Solutions S.R.L. By making a reservation or purchasing a voucher, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Passenger Eligibility

1.1 Weight

Passengers must weigh between 35 kg and 100 kg. If you are close to the maximum limit, please inform us before booking so we can ensure the safest possible experience.

1.2 Age

There is no upper age limit. Minors may fly only with written consent from both parents or legal guardians, provided at the time of the flight.

1.3 Physical Condition

No prior physical training is required. However, passengers must be able to take several running steps during takeoff and landing, following the pilot's instructions. Passengers with serious medical conditions should consult a physician before participating.

1.4 Required Equipment

Passengers must wear:

• Closed sports shoes or hiking boots with grip (no sandals, flip flops, or heels)
• Long trousers
• Long-sleeved top (even in summer — temperatures are lower at altitude)
• In winter: appropriate warm clothing, ideally a ski suit

All flight equipment (paraglider, harness, helmet, reserve parachute) is provided by Paragliding Brasov.

1.5 Takeoff

Takeoff involves a short run along a grassed or snow-covered slope. There is no jumping. The pilot provides a full briefing before every flight.

1.6 Landing

Landing also requires a few running steps as instructed by the pilot.

2. Booking, Confirmation & Cancellation

2.1 Making a Reservation

Flights can be reserved via the booking form on this website, by email, or by WhatsApp. All reservations are subject to pilot availability and weather conditions.

2.2 Confirmation

We confirm all bookings within 24 hours by email and WhatsApp. Weather conditions — particularly wind — can affect flight operations. We monitor conditions daily and will contact you at least 24 hours before your scheduled flight to confirm or reschedule.

2.3 Rescheduling & Cancellation

Passenger safety is our absolute priority. A flight may be postponed or cancelled at any time if:

• Weather conditions change suddenly
• Wind conditions are not suitable
• The pilot judges the situation to be unsafe

The pilot's decision is final. In the event of cancellation due to weather, your booking is rescheduled at no extra cost. Paragliding Brasov is not liable for any travel or accommodation costs incurred due to weather cancellations.

2.4 Passenger Cancellation

• More than 48 hours before the flight: full rescheduling at no cost
• Less than 48 hours before the flight: we will do our best to reschedule, subject to availability
• No-show without prior notice: the booking is forfeited

3. Gift Vouchers

3.1 Definition

A gift voucher represents a pre-paid flight, issued electronically with a unique code and corresponding invoice confirmation.

3.2 Validity & Use

• Valid for 12 months (360 days) from the date of issue
• Can be used once only, using the unique voucher code
• Vouchers are not nominal and may be transferred to another person who meets the eligibility requirements in Section 1
• Vouchers can be redeemed for any available flight at either Bunloc or Poiana Brasov

3.3 Purchase & Payment

Vouchers can be purchased via bank transfer. After completing the voucher request form, you will receive payment details by email. The voucher and payment confirmation are sent upon receipt of payment.

3.4 Refund Policy

• Within 14 days of purchase: full refund, no questions asked
• After voucher expiry (360 days): the voucher cannot be used, returned, or refunded
• During the validity period: a full refund is available only if two consecutive scheduled flights were cancelled by the pilot due to weather, and the passenger was present on both occasions
• Vouchers may be transferred to any other person at any time

4. Safety & Liability

4.1 Equipment

We fly exclusively with certified tandem paragliding equipment:

• Certified tandem paraglider
• Impact-protection harnesses
• Helmets
• Reserve parachute

Passengers may request a visual inspection of the equipment at any time.

4.2 Pilots

All pilots operating under Paragliding Brasov are:

• Licensed for passenger-carrying tandem flights
• Certified tandem pilots or instructors
• Experienced with a minimum of 8 years of flying and at least 1,000 flights

Passengers have the right to request verification of the pilot's licence before the flight.

4.3 Assumption of Risk

Paragliding is an outdoor adventure activity. As with any sport, incidents or, rarely, accidents may occur. By participating in a flight, the passenger (or their legal guardian in the case of minors) acknowledges and accepts the inherent risks associated with paragliding.

Under these conditions, Paragliding Brasov, its operating company DTS Strategies & Solutions S.R.L., and collaborating pilots cannot be held liable for injuries, and the passenger waives any claim for compensation arising from participation in the activity.

4.4 Photo & Video

HD photo and video footage is included in the price of all flights. Materials are sent to the passenger by email or shared cloud link within 24–48 hours of the flight. Files are retained for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are permanently deleted.

5. Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Romanian law. Any disputes shall be settled amicably or, failing that, by the competent courts of Romania.

6. Changes to These Terms

Paragliding Brasov reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on this website at the time of booking shall apply.
